Taking place in GrowSmarter’s Lighthouse City of Barcelona, the project is well represented throughout the three-day long Smart City Expo World Congress. From awards ceremonies to sharing experiences in the European Smart Cities and Communities stand, below is a list of events where you can be sure to learn more about GrowSmarter:

Day 1, Tuesday, 19 November

All day: European Smart Cities and Communities stand
Come experience the European Smart Cities for yourself. GrowSmarter is sharing the stand with the other inspiring projects funded by the European Commission. The stand full of events and workshops for anyone interested in smart city solutions.

9.45-10.30: Agora session - From dream to reality, sharing experiences from leading European Smart Cities 
Start the Expo by joining the three sister projects; GrowSmarter, Remourban and Trinagulum, as they share key insights from the first group of projects to conclude in the European Smart Cities and Communities Lighthouse Programme. Project Manager Lisa Enarsson represents GrowSmarter.

16.00-16.45 Nordic Lighthouse Cities – smart, bold and collaborative
GrowSmarter’s Lighthouse City of Stockholm joins other Nordic Lighthouses for a talk on Smart Cities with a Nordic perspective.

Day 2, Wednesday, 20 November

9.00-11.30: Who pays the smart bill? How to finance smart solutions
The GrowSmarter partner IESE hosts this side event on the financing of smart solutions and urban economic growth.

9.30-10.30: GrowSmarter – Lessons Learnt on Low Energy Districts and Intelligent Mobility for Energy Transition
GrowSmarter partners (Nissan, City of Stockholm and IREC) share key lessons from the project at this event where the European Commission also takes part.

10.30-11.15: Replicating results from GrowSmarter
The smart solutions have been implemented in the Lighthouse Cities, but what comes next? This workshop will help answer that question. With GrowSmarter partner ICLEI.

11.15-13.15: Redefining the Energy Mix and Distribution Systems
An event looking into the energy system of the future, with the GrowSmarter partner IREC and the Lighthouse City of Cologne.

13.00-13.30: Stockholm City Reception
Join the Lighthouse City of Stockholm as it invites for a conference reception.

17.30-19.00 – Night of EU Smart Cities and Communities
Join the European Lighthouse Projects for an evening where views are exchanged and the thoughts behind Europe 2030 are presented.

19.00: Awards Ceremony, Smart City Awards 
The City of Stockholm is nominated for a World Smart City Award for their work to build a smart and sustainable city. The City's leadership of GrowSmarter was mentioned as one reason for the nomination.

Day 3, Thursday, 21 November

The City of Stockholm joins fellow Lighthouse Cities to discuss the lessons learnt from GrowSmarter and how to create smarter cities.
